White Line, 2010
NTSC SD video, with sound, 7 minutes 56 seconds

White line visually monitors the population of a subway car as it passes underground through a geographic line of ethnic and class segregation at 86th Street in Manhattan.

Video was captured during multiple trips on the subway with a small handheld camera, aimed down the length of the uptown bound car as it pulled in and out of the 86th St station. The population on the car radically shifts at this stop in the system.
